Please note on the initial date of publication there were over 100 drills below. Since then Ultimate Player HQ has become a paid for membership service. As a result we have been asked to limit the number of drills shared below to 25. If you bookmarked this page and a drill you were using has disappeared we apologise for any inconvenience.

Some of you may be aware of the twitter account @playersessionHQ. On this account the creator shares video animations he’s produced using TacticalPad (check out our member app review blog here) of coaching sessions from professional football clubs from across the world.

With his permission I’ve collated a lot of these animations for you to try out. The sessions aren’t just for football coaches though. A lot of them can easily be adapted to other sports - I do know of a few members who have been successful in doing just that!

Give them a try and then add a comment to let me know how you get on and what your favourite is.

Don’t forget to bookmark the page as well so you can easily find them whenever you want smile

Hi David glad you like them! Yes tactical pad is an app. We are just in the process of collating a member review that we will hopefully be posting as a blog in the next few weeks, which should give you a bit more of an insight into the app. Alternatively you can find out more about them on their site here https://www.tacticalpad.com/tacticalpad/index.php

I have been a long-term Follower @playersesionsHQ and have regularly used many, many of their sessions for my Hockey Training sessions for Teams across the School ages as well as Adults. It is a pity that there is no Hockey Field template, but this has not adversely affected the successful adaptation for my purposes. It is important that you fully understand the context of the session @playersessionsHQ have developed, and stay faithful to this when running the activity.

I see there is some pushback iro paid subscription services on my Twitter feed Rob Maaye. Not everyone is convinced they should pay for football session plans.

Doesn’t surprise me Lawrie O'Keeffe ! When I was asked to reduce the number of sessions on this page because they were switching to a paid for model I thought they might get some pushback on social media. You can’t blame them for trying to monetise what they’ve created I don’t think. They’ve produced an awful lot of drills for people to use. We just live in a time where whilst people do value the production of good quality content they think they shouldn’t have to pay for it and everything should be free. It doesn’t seem to register that there is a cost (monetary, time etc) attached to producing it
